Welcome to the 2009 Redwood Area PWGA golfing season!
The Redwood Area is in need of a few volunteers - it will help your golf game!
Membership This year we need a membership person - new position. The membership person will work with the current clubs and work with the other clubs in the Redwood Area to get the word out about PWGA.
Redwood Area Director & Tournament Director Next year we need a Redwood Area Director and a Tournament Director. Please let me know if anyone is interested.
Rules Director Next year we need a Redwood Area Rules director. This person will put the rules together for all the Redwood Area tournaments and playdays. Also this person has a chance to get involved in the PWGA tournaments.

Please let me know if you would be interested, nice lunch included after golf at StoneTree. Please ask around at your club to see if anyone may be interested. I will be sending information next week about the practice round on Sunday, April 19th.
First Playday: First Redwood Area playday May 18th FountainGrove - the flyers have been mailed out to your reps. Please make sure they are posted, this event should sell out.

Intent to Field a Team For The PWGA Team Play: The form along with a check made out to the PWGA is due April 17th. The forms are mailed to me - Liz Frome - 12 River Vista Ct., Novato, CA 94945
For more information you can go to the PWGA website - www.golfpwga.org and go to the Redwood Area section for all events for the PWGA and the Redwood Area Events.
I send out all emails to the PWGA Reps and captains for your club. Please make sure that you hang any information on your clubs bulletin board and if it is information that comes via email - please email to all your clubs members. The PWGA Rep role is very important and the information comes to you and your entire club and the Redwood PWGA depends on you to get pass along the information. In order to have a successful golfing year the PWGA reps should be active in their clubs and talk up the PWGA events. I have gathered the names for the reps and the captains from the sheets that were sent to the PWGA, for each club. If you are not the PWGA rep or the captain for your club please send me the person who should be getting the information.
Please let me know if you have any questions. |
